• Built tough. Most standard chicken wire is flimsy 20 or 22 gauge. Garvee uses 19-gauge (approx. 1mm) steel wire, which offers superior resistance to bending and physical impact. It stands upright better and is far more difficult for predators to manipulate or break.
• No entry for pests. The 1/2 inch (13 mm) hexagonal openings are significantly smaller than the common 1-inch or 2-inch varieties. This tight weave is essential for keeping out baby rabbits, large insects, and rodents, while still protecting small chicks from escaping.
• Weather-ready. Our wire undergoes a hot-dip galvanisation process. This leaves a thick, protective coating of zinc over the steel, preventing rust and corrosion even when the fence is buried underground to stop diggers or exposed to constant rain.
• Ideal dimensions. The roll measures 36 inches (91 cm) in width and 50 feet (15.2 m) in length. This width is perfect for standard garden fencing heights, while the length provides ample material for large enclosures or multiple smaller repair jobs.
